Houston Team
Jaime | General Manager
Jaime has spent the last 16 years with us at Fish Gallery. He originally hails from New York. Jaime loves designing and installing new aquariums, and frequently re-does display tanks around the store or one of his three fish tanks at home. If he’s not at the shop there’s a good chance he can be found at the driving range or on his bike. He also listed his hidden talent as: hiding talents. What a wise guy.
Danny | Store Manager
Danny has been with Fish Gallery for the past 5 years and is our resident equipment expert. He wins the “Most Fish Tanks At Home” competition with 8 freshwater tanks ranging from 5-125 gallons. He studied graphic design in school and enjoys drawing, computers, and collecting things. Danny loves all animals but has a passion for Datnoides sp. Oh, and watch out for his lightningfastreflexes!
Don | Livestock Manager
Don is easily our most popular employee, with good reason. Even though he focused on English in school, he is our resident expert on freshwater fish, plants, and fish diseases. He has been through it all since Village Tropical fish 24 years ago. Don is originally from San Antonio, but has lived in Houston for 54 years. In his free time, Don likes to garden and listen to music.
Daniel | Assistant Manager
Daniel just completed his undergraduate studies in History at UH last year. He is most interested in freshwater aquariums, and named the golden dwarf cichlid, Nannacara anomala, as his favorite fish species. Daniel has good taste in craft beer and knows his way around a Starcraft 2 tournament.
Rico | Freshwater/Sales
Rico is very knowledgeable about Central American and South American cichlids. He has been a valued employee at Fish Gallery for almost 2 years. He has one large freshwater fish tank at home. Rico’s hobbies include fishing and working on the cars in his collection. Usually can be found in the middle of Fish Gallery shenanigans.
Chris | Saltwater/Sales
Chris is Fish Gallery's saltwater and DIY expert. He studied Marine Biology emphasizing larval development at TAMU-Galveston and plans on returning for a master’s degree in the future. Chris is also working toward his SCUBA Dive Master certification in his free time. Despite popular opinion, Chris and Steven are not related.
Mark | Saltwater/Freshwater
Mark, our newest employee, actually returned to us this month after working for Village Tropical Fish many years ago. His areas of expertise range from corals to tetras to reptiles. Mark is studying surgical technology in school. “I enjoy long walks on the beach…beaches full of corals and invertebrates to study!” Did we mention he reports one of his hidden talents as yodeling telling bad jokes?
Steven | Dry Goods/Sales
Steven is originally from Houston and is currently studying computer information systems. He has been with Fish Gallery since February 2008 and uses his creativity to merchandise and deco display tanks. He has one fish tank at home and says the mandarin goby is his favorite fish. Steven also enjoys playing video games and can wiggle his ears. But can he do them at the same time?
Kevin | Freshwater/Saltwater

She excels in customer service, routing, and scheduling in our Service Department. Lisa has two freshwater community fish tanks at home, and also enjoys riding a Harley and taking road trips.
Simon | Assistant Service Manager
Simon, originally from Brownsville, TX, has been with the company for 9 years. His area of expertise spans freshwater tanks and aquarium installation. He has three fish tanks of his own at home and says his favorite fish is the flowerhorn cichlid. Not wanting Jaime to run unopposed as funny man of the year, Simon wrote his hidden talent as “hard worker.” Too true.
Armando | Service Operations Manager
Armando has been installing tanks all over the country (and world!) with Fish Gallery for the last 12 years. He lives in Humble and enjoys coaching baseball in his free time. Armando studied Business Administration at TSU San Marcos.
